    Kudo's to Holley's customer service

Bought a C-list carb that looked to be near new. Guy claimed it worked well on what it came off of. (right)

Pulled bowls off to check jet sizes - found the carb coating flaking off inside the carb on the metering block and bowl. (mostly block)

Well that's no good...thinking about giving that fine gentleman (also did not see until disassembly that some gorilla tightened the idle mixture screws so tight they cracked the metering block) a call back but then thought...this seems like a clear manufacturers' issue.

So a little internet search showed of course there was brief window of time where the coating was an issue and Holley was replacing carbs no questions asked.

The interesting part - this was 2005/2006 time-frame.

Anyway called Holley tech - gave them build date and they confirmed it fit the bill for a free replacement....on a 10 yr old carb.

    That is good customer service.

That is the way it should be. Their minor loss on sending a new carb out for free is long forgotten when said customer shops again and possibly tells their friends.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump
