    Manual brake parts

Figured I would ask before I started ordering stuff.

going to convert my car to manual brakes, anyone have any parts they bought and never used laying around?

    manual brake kit

    adjustable proportiniong valve

kit to gut the proportioning valve.

Let me know what you might have before I start ordering stuff.

even a further stretch, but if anyone has a Wilwood 5 lug rear kit I'm listening

Troy - do you still have 6 bottles of spray detailer in your trunk? Does it help with weight transfer? :-)

I have seen him remove the spray detailer, floor mats, and custom made trunk mat at the track .... I bust his balls, but have seen him race.

i have also seen Joe dump 2/3rds a quart of expensive spray detailer in his trunk.

just say no to spray detailer.

Does the type of tire shine affect what RPM you leave at or what pressure you put in the tires?

does any of this help me with manual brake parts?

So Bob, I've been entertaining doing this as well to my 93. Not to derail the thread but.... With the skinny kid kit, what else do you need to do to make this work? I have a 5 lug conversion with Lincoln rotors up front and drums in the back. What did you find out about the required mods to make this work?

In the end, you need to modify the pick up point on the pedal for the proper ratio. If you use a kit that don't, you will end up with a hard pedal.

the better kits I've seen seem to be the one from Skinny Kid race cars or Jegs has a similar kit.

i will add a manual proprtioning valve as I have an odd combo of brakes with front willwoods (4 pot) and SVO rear discs (big Pistons). Still might need to change master cylinder bore but to be seen.

Do you know if the stock proportioning valve can be used?
