Duster has never been to the track. I have been fighting a fuel issue with it. Vapor lock in traffic, fuel starvation at full throttle but only sometimes. I'm thinking pickup issue in tank.May try a new pickup and an electric pump. I am having too much fun with the new car and have kind of ignored "Annabelle". I'm guessing when running right low 14s to high 13s. It's a 1969 340 auto with manual valve body and 3.55 gears. I thought it was fast until I got the new car. I still love the old girl and want to get her to the track sometime.
It's a good looking car! How old are the fuel lines? I had a pinhole in the fuel line of my first Cutlass, at the top of the curve over the rear end. It didn't leak, would idle fine, part throttle fine, but stumble like it was fuel starved at full throttle. Chased that for awhile.
I hear you hemi14 on thinking your old stuff was fast until you got the new. I went through the same with the foxbodies and then I had a coyote. Just couldn't fall in love with the coyote the way I did with the foxes. It is a night and day difference in the power and creature comforts, but I'll prob be sticking with the slow foxes for now
Fuel lines are original. So 44 years old. Thanks for the tip. I would not have considered that.
