    TNT last night at Keystone

Tested last night, rather happy with some things I found. Went 10.29, not a new "best" but by far the best I've run in full True Street trim (DOT and exhaust) and not in good fall air. Found some solid MPH too

It isn't all big MPH ... took a shot at running a number and the 2.3 gods stepped in a busted loose a charge pipe ... I call it failure to launch

im real happy with the MPH now, I just need to find the ET in there. Lots of details and I've got good data logs do we will find it. This was likely the last passes turned up like this until fall ... ill be back at 10.50 index racing in a couple of weeks and need to get back on that tune up.

really happy with this transmission, 2.92 helical dog ring. I likely don't do it the justice it deserves, it was previously owned by a multi champion Factory Stock driver. God knows how many laps are on it.

Curious...What's the 1/4 mile record for a small tire 4-cylinder street legal stick car?

There was a guy at Drag Week a couple years back that was running in the 9's....maybe high 8's I think. Jeff Huber is his name.

It's pretty confusing in the 2.3 world with "records".

We cant think of anyone quicker / faster than mine in what is really a street car on DOT's with a T5 based transmission. The issue is whatever you set up as guidelines, no one else runs, so we can all have a "record". Without a doubt, low 10's at 2.3 liters, on a manual transmission, on a DOT / through a muffler is very rare air in the 2.3 world.

My buddy Matt has been 9.30's on a 10.50 slick, with a 5 speed NASH transmission (5th is 1:1) He has also attempted on a DOT / through a muffler and been quicker than me at very bottom 10's in that combo. His is ideal with 5 forward gears, he is through 4 in the first 1/8th so his early increments eat me up. Also a great set up as he can race 1/8th mile with 4 forward gears, then uses 5th for 1/4 mile racing. He went 6.0x last week in his (my good 1/8th are 6.50 ish)

The car Dan mentioned is Jon Huber, it's over 2.8 liters and a powerglide. It's been in the 8's. Joe Laramee is the high 7's with a big engine and C4, but you need to tie that car down if the wind blows it's that light. Fred House is by far the fastest, watch him run 7.70's at over 170 mph a few weeks ago, tube chassis, stick car but clutch less.

Nobody really watches the "records" in our world like they do with other combos mostly because there isn't buying much, and we all build them different.

You should do Drag Week with the Capri. It would be a hit. Drag Week is definitely on my bucket list.
