I'm selling my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP. 5.3 LS4 V8. Originally a Florida car, body is very clean. Silver/black, 93k miles. Factory navigation, leather/suede seats, sunroof. Recently serviced (NGK TR55 plugs, Firecore50 wires, 180* t-stat, Hayden 516 trans cooler, Continental rad hoses/serpentine belt, new power steering cooler, power steering fluid and coolant replaced with fresh fluid, filter changed in transmission and topped off with Dexron 3, K&N Cold air, newer tires, just recently aligned. Car is fun to drive, but I'm too spoiled by the creature comforts of my Jetta TDi to sell it back to Volkswagen. This car was originally going to replace the VW, but not anymore.
These cars were the best version of the LS4 car you could buy. 255mm tires in the front/225's in the rear, Alcoa wheels, factory battery voltage readout, trans temp readout, engine hours and Heads Up display that shows gear, outside temperature and MPH, factory drilled rotors/larger calipers and factory Bilstein HD suspension. The car pulls great in all gears, especially first. If there is any wheelspin the steering wheel torque steers back to dead center and does not move anywhere else on its own. The suspension geometry and wider tires in the front really show when you push the car.
One of the downfalls with this car is the transmission. They tend to burn up because of how hot they run (210-220*). Installing the Hayden cooler inline after the factory trans cooler in the radiator ensures two things: 1, the fluid will remain cooler than the engine temperature, and 2, the fluid will still be warmed up by the coolant for winter driving. I have seen temps range in between 165-180* driving, and has climbed to only 195 sitting in parkway traffic. The fluid in the transmission was orange, did not smell burnt and had no visible clutch material in the fluid, so a drop the pan, filter/fluid topoff (NOT a fluid flush) and trans cooler were the best things for this transmission to ensure it lasts much longer.
Looking for $7500 o.b.o. Text Chris at 412-477-2278 if you'd like to see more pictures. Front end shot kept failing to upload because it was too big (That's what she said)
