That’s a really nice Olds. Talk about bad timing. I hope things go well with the adjuster. You definitely deserve a break.

The living space of house is fine. Had to repair furnace and spent most of a day yesterday cleaning out basement. Its unfinished so just lots of clean up. Spent all day today shoveling inches of mud, sand, and silt out of the back yard. Its official car is done. No numbers yet. They are researching. Not sure what's up with that. Its typically 106% of Kelly blue book according to a professional I talked too. Dunno

aren't these cars still selling for more than 106% of KBB?

I would do some homework on what similar cars are selling for as a base.

    That really sucks.

The adjusters typically use several industry-specific sources for determining values. But you can provide comparable sales as reference if you disagree with the number. The two I've dealt with (my stepdaughter's and a friend's) came in right at what market value were (plus tax), but they were more everyday vehicles.

Got things worked out with insurance. Should be coming tomorrow to pick her up. Not sure what I'm replacing with. Might get another or might keep an eye on the demon market. Already seeing some new ones under msrp. Along with the "speculators" who are trying to quick flip for well over a hundred k. Good luck with that.

Wonder how many gremlins are waiting for the new owner. Ive read a few threads on SVTP where guys have bought flooded cars without issues. They said a lot of the electrical connections on the new cars are water tight. I would think mold may be a big issue.

With water up to the dashboard, yeah I imagine there will be some lingering issues. I agree 100% with the mold.
