I am a complete noobie with these newer cars,so please bear with me. I have 2013 Mustang GT with a JLT CAI and a pair of Roush axlebacks installed. I just downloaded the updates onto my SCT X4 tuner. I need to install a tune onto my car. I only have the tunes provided by SCT. Which tune should I put in it? I want to do some custom tunes eventually after a few other mods are on the car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Mark

Hi Mark - I wouldn’t use a canned tune. It could be fine, or it could be dangerous. The good thing about Shaun at AED is he will require you to datalog first, so you will know if the motor is 100% to start with. It also will let you know if your gas is good or not. These cars are sensitive to octane levels and will pull timing to keep things safe. If the canned tune desensitizes your knock sensors things could get bad quick. Having a reputable tuner like AED ensures you will have a safe tune with great reliability. Well worth the $250 IMO. So,should I wait and not put on the CAI or tuner? I want to put on headers and an offroad h-pipe. Should I wait and then get a tune once I have installed all of the aftermarket parts?

If you're doing headers soon I would wait until you have everything together. Then get a custom tune from Lund or Aed
Ok. I guess I will just have to wait a little while until I get the rest of the mods. Should be a nice bump in power adding all of them at once with a custom tune. Thanks for the advice guys!
