    Fiero part 3 - 3lbs per horsepower?

I decided to make a new thread because the images on the old thread stopped working. JeffreyCole, Dewayne and I will be trying to finish up the car on Saturdays this summer.

The current state of the car is that the mechanical aspects are done, it needs wired, plummed, tuned and dipped (we also need to figure out the new trans controller). It's at Jeff's house now because my garage is a mess.

I'm thinking we might try to lighten it some too...

The main guy working on it got married and has a kid on the way and I think ran out of time, It wasn't a real shop, just some guys that work on them in their spare time. They got all the done that I would have trouble with, it just sat for a long time. We will get it sorted out pretty easily from here though.

First saturday was more of a planning day with a bit of beer...

    wvvkgG3.jpg

We got the wiring harness removed:

    Took some notes:

and removed a bunch of old AC stuff from below the car and the front in order to re-route the a2w lines.

We made decent progress, next Fiero day is May 12th with the plan to finish plumbing fuel system, and wiring all other other non-harness stuff (a2w pump, surge pumps, water pump, oil scavenge pump)

I feel like this thread needs an update with all the work we have done on this thing as of late.

We got a lot done, but I didn't take pictures.

    turbo:
turbo oil drain line is almost done, new oil pan bung is done, remounted the turbowerx pump, turbo oil inlet is done, pump still needs wired

    Heater/AC:
All gone, new front "firewall" built and put in, deleted AC lines and heater core lines

    Trans:
trans pressure gauge hooked up, cooler lines almost done (one side is done, other is waiting for a fitting, decided to eliminate the range and NSS switch, found the trans cable retainer (super rare on these),most of the trans is wired, Torque Converter bolts ready to go in, mounted TCU in cab

    Fuel:
Pretty close to being done, just some wiring

    Radio:
    Deleted

    Fancy:
    Retrimmed the trunk cutout

    Motor:
Adjusted the Alternator bracket, beat on a motor mount for a few hours

    Things left:
    Reinstall intercooler and intake pipes
    rework exhaust
brakes (new front pads, reconnect lines)
check front wheel bearings, there is a lot of play in them for some reason
    bypass NSS and range switch
wire fuel pumps (hobb switch, relays)
    power for tcu
    ecu -> tcu connections
put in adapter fitting for rear trans cooler line
    put in tq converter bolts
    rear end lift kit
    map sensor
re-install engine harness, change some things for the water pumps and turbo oil pump

We are probably 2-3 more full days of working on it to get it started, which will be around a month and a half because we only work on it on saturdays and are going to miss 2 of the next 3.
