Does anyone do car title transfers got a question?

Hello , Long time since I posted here , I am finally getting back into cars again, and I found a Mustang and buying it from a guy, he has the title but its from West Virginia and its not his name on the title but the owner he bought it from. How would I go about getting this cars title put in my name? Thanks!

I suggest joining AAA and asking them what needs done. They have access to all the various states’ rules. Peace of mind is worth the membership. Plus, it gets you discounts on their title services.

Never done it personally, but you should just be able to take the title you have to a notary and get it registered in your name. It's actually easier to get stuff done with out of state titles in my experience.

I’m thinking you’ll need a notarized signature for the name on the title... hope that guy is still alive!

Not necessarily. Lots of states do not require it. I just did 3 out of state titles in the last two months. All signed and NOT notarized. All went through fine.

Internal with PA...you have to kiss some serious ass, give DNA of your first dogs mother, give sworn testimony nothing is false...basically a full on interrogation. Then maybe the state won’t kick it back because a capital letter wasn’t used when it should have been or a comma was mistaken as a period.
