I hear ya. I got rid of my Glock. It was like the Honda Civic of firearms. Made good money on it and got another 1911 out of the deal.

I think I have about 15 Glocks now. Absolutely love them, especially my 10mm's that are my carry guns of choice. Never really understood the 1911 craze. I have about 6 Kimbers (old ones before Kimber started making a lot of the $800 junk models they sell today) and STI's, but honestly think the Sig P220 out of the box is a far nicer gun to shoot for 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a decent 1911.

I agree with that. Decent 1911’s are stupid money. My Kimber is older. I opted for that when I won the rifle on a ticket a few months back.

I’ll say this. With my Glock, I purposely did not clean or oil it. Ever. Ran about 1000 rounds through it with zero issues. I wanted to make it fail. It wouldn’t.
