    1995 Impala SS

    SOLD.

Black, as God intended. 77,000 miles. $10,500... edit: reduced to $9900!

Remarkably original. Has had paint work (lower right side years ago, bumper covers, grill, and spoiler were just done) but most of it is still 1995 GM paint. One rust bubble at bottom of drivers B-pillar, can only be seen when doors are opened... about the size of a quarter. One flakey spot under rubberstrip under trunk lid... maybe an inch long.

Brand new all-season Nitto tires. New a/c compressor, condenser, and high-pressure lines. Blows ice cold.

New fuel pump, water pump, serpentine belt, hoses, brake lines.

    Runs great.

    New stickers.

Interior is very nice, leather shows virtually no wear.

Has been mostly stored since 2012 by the family that owned it since 1998. We revived it over the winter and have driven it 200 trouble-free miles since.

Left rear speaker doesn’t work. Digital dash occasionally flickers But seems better since we’ve been driving it. A few minor clear coat issues.

Sure was! We did all the cosmetics and “easy” stuff, farmed out the heavier-lifting and safety items to my buddy’s shop.

i really need to update that thread!

I cant recall but was it supposed to be your sons first car or were you just working on it together?

We were working on it together. Friends would ask which of my cars 14 year-old Daniel would drive when he’s 16. None of my 400hp toys would be a good thing to learn on! But I’m also not a fan of buying him “his” car.

So we’re working on some cars... my money, my tools, our time, he’s learning, he’s with me instead of playing some video game, and any profits go in his envelope and in a few years he should have enough to get something safe, reliable, and semi-cool.

What level of cargurus did you use? Free or the $165 one? Anyone else have luck with this site?

I used "Free". I listed it 30 days ago and used their online valuation as a guide. They estimated the value at $11,800 so I priced it at $11,000.

    Crickets.

It's been viewed 600 times and saved 20. I did cut the price about 10 days ago to $9900. I've got a decent nibble but there's still a real nice Impala SS in my barn looking for a home.

Craigslist has only stirred up car-selling services.

A friend in the business said he thinks most of the folks shopping on Car Gurus are more dealer oriented... they're expecting to deal with a dealer. I'm going to list the Impala on Auto Trader and Cars.com once I get a chance. I think the price is pretty close to what it will sell for... unlike the Car Gurus silliness. I do like Car Gurus for just looking, but perhaps that all anybody uses it for!

I too have a SS and have been contemplating letting it go. It seems the prices for these are all over the board right now though. GLWS
