Went to test and tune yesterday ... struggled with the track, could never predict what was going to be there for a launch tuneup.

timeslip also. 60’ still weakfish, but best ET of the day with a rather soft launch (because I spun my ass off the pass before). Also on this pass the rear view mirror went flying past my head ....
I waited a while for the car to cool down and hoping the track would come around. Loaded up a decent launch package and added 1 more pound of boost ... didn’t 60’ Great, but the car loved the boost and the MPH is the best it’s ever gone ....
Now the ugly .... as I was crossing the stripe at 141 mph, my windshield got blasted with coolant. I thought it lifted the head. Car stopped straight and I drove it back to my pit ....
What I found is that it split a lower radiator hose right at the water pump. Now for me that was beyond lucky it blew on the back side and dumped all the water into my diaper ... it did ended spray the entire engine bay, but the diaper caught a lot ... I stopped with no issue. And the track was only down 5 minutes while they checked it out (no clean up).
Im here to suggest if you are out there racing and don’t have a diaper, get one.
Diaper off this morning, cleaned engine, washed car ....
I'm taking Bob's advice, anyone have diaper for sale that will fit a c-4.

My engine diaper is just a Jegs universal that I use the absorbent pads to make fit the 4 cylinder ...
greg sells engine diapers at the track actually pretty reasonable.
no idea on transmission diapers, I’m sure Jegs and Summit have versions to fit
so glad it did its job and caught the fluid

Well, it did lift the head.
whats funny is that it likely did it ion the pass before it went 140 mph. When I came back from that pass there was a touch of water on the vent on my puke can. Checked radiator and it was a little low. Topped it up and went for this. I think it was dinked before and this just killed it.
eh, new parts on ordergoing to do a little mod to the head studs, and get back at it
