New clutch ....

This will mostly be a winter project, but parts are coming in, might as well make a thread.

so I’m finally stepping up to a fully adjustable clutch. To be honest, vendors and options for this stuff have become more limited since Tim Hyatt passsd away. In the end, after looking at options and parts I ended up buying from Cale Aronson and his company Black Magic clutches. You might remember Cale as hanging in to the end with Ford Pro Stock. The parts are manufactured by ACE for the pressure plate, and with my 2.3 it’s a custom build ....

One of the challenges was getting the flywheel to fit my 2.3 crank ....as the pictures show, that is perfect ....

I’m not sure how I’ve been messing with clutch stuff so long and didn’t know about this McLeod adjustable throw out bearing. It makes any other TOB I’ve used feel like junk, amazing piece

As part of this, I need to be able to log Engine RPM versus driveshaft RPM. Pictured are a magnet collar to go on my pinion yoke, and a bracket to mount to the 8.8 to hold the sensor. That bracket is a ridiculous price of billet aluminum .
