What kind of mpg could I get from a stock LS swap?

Heck - even a HO 302 and a T5 would be fun in that. One wheel peel for miles!

When I first got my TransAm, I was getting 31mpg highway with the 3.42 gears and a stock LS1. I still get 20+ with the 3.73 gears and I’ve done no weight reduction whatsoever in mine. I’d say you would be more than happy with mpg for a DD in that. You can make that stock LS1 average 8mpg though if you have a cinder block foot like most of us do.
My rear end is limited slip though. Not sure if that makes much difference in mpg or not. I don’t have to worry about the one wheel peel. Lol

With my stock c5 I could get 30mpg stock hwy(6spd). I think it was closer to 20 around town.
