Tube Bender

Anyone here use a JD2 Model3? Looking to order one next week and wonder how people like it. Also better to just get a 180* die vs a 90*? Probably will add an air/hydraulic ram and mount on something mobile.

Ordered the JD2 Model 32 and a 1.625" die. Also a Swag Machined mount for an air/hydraulic ram. Should make this nice and mobile

Tube bender not to ship until the 23rd, bah to 10 day lead times.

I did get the air/hyd ram mount today. Nicely machined parts. Includes everything needed to install plus 100lb return cord to compress ram and knob to bleed pressure. Even mounting plate for bender which will help in making a stand for it.

Got the bender and die today. Going to mount it to an old engine stand so I can use it horizontal or vertical. Just need to weld some brackets to stand and put bender together. See what I can get done on cage this nice long weekend.

1.625" die, only got a 90* die as I don't foresee bending tube that size over 90. Probably pick up a 1.25 180* die in near future.

Got this all together. Works real nice. Ram from HF is actually pretty quiet. Most videos I have seen of these. They seemed loud. Which made me happy when testing it. Welded bracket to engine mount and then 3/8" plate to brace it. Used one leg for engine as a stop so I can move this between horizontal and vertical. All said I am pretty happy with how this turned out.











Made a quick 45* bend, keep this for a cheater. This tubing only had 2.5* spring back.
