Front crank seal NEEDS R&R with new harmonic balancer ??

"Your Mustang crankshaft seal needs to be replaced if you install a new harmonic balancer."

Says LMR. True or not? I've read a number threads about replacing harmonic balancers. Most don't have anything at all to say about the front crank seal needing replacing- unless it's leaking of course. And it sounds like the proper way to do that is to remove the timing cover- although then seems to be 50-50 opinion on that. Mine seal isn't leaking, is this really necessary assuming balancer is carefully installed?

New balancer is Powerbond PB-1084SS from Summit for 94 Cobra- https://www.summitracing.com/parts/PBB-PB1084SS So before I get this done what do you think?

If not leaking. Just clean it good and lube before installing new dampener. You wouldn't need to pull cover to change that seal. Just a matter of getting old out and putting new in if you want to replace. Nothing hard to do.

And make sure you lube it well so it doesn't bind the seal
