    hello all

    spoke to the track

the weather for Sunday is only showing a high in the low 40's, that is not really good especially with the overnight temps in the low 30's

they will continue to monitor and will update later in the week

Well, if this ends up being a shit show, what about planning a spring rental?

Maybe you can just keep the rental money in the bank, and have it ready for the spring?

    Thoughts?

I would be in for the spring and might actually be able to bring my car.

It's going to be a REALLY long winter if I don't get to the track 1 more time before winter. Might have to load up the car and head south.

Throwing options out there.... ask the track to let is have it from 4-9 pm on Saturday? Might have better luck with tempersture, and they would save money because they would have the staffing, insurance, and some prep work done from TnT?

I'm thinking Saturday TnT may not happen either, too cold. And once the sun goes down it just gets worse. Cold asphalt doesn't have much traction. As bad as I want to do this I don't want to see anyone ruin a car or get hurt.

If we could enough Fieros there the heat from all the fires would heat up the track

It will be 52 on saturday, and sunday now shows a high of 45. Looks like the weekend is warming up some. That is weather for some great DA. Ground will be warm enough.

Low 30’s overnight does not provide good track conditions.

as **** mentioned, the optimism is the ground is warm and it will heat up if the sun gets on it. Some years ago ledt home at 20 degrees, was in the low teens going over the mountain, got to Mason Dixon it was 30 degrees, by 10.00 it was 40 and never went higher. Hooked all day there, and that prep is nothing compared to Keystone. They will make the right call for prep.

If they get up there early they could run the heater. In past years the street cars would just drive up and down the track to warm it up too. Hopefully they get it in, but I am not holding my breath.

If its 40s by track opening, and the sun is on the track, we should be more than fine for hooking. Track prep, and a drag radial at minimum, you should be fine.

Saturday is looking to be slightly warmer than Sunday. I'm planning to run on Saturday and Sunday. This is likely our last chance for this season.Anyone else?

Let’s be honestly Keystone dropped the ball last Sunday when they canceled. Looked like I’ll have to haul my car else where to get another track outting this year. I’m already scheduled for a rental on Nov 15th at MIR.

I don't fault Keystone at all for this, if they had paved pit areas, yes, but the best we can hope for at Keystone is gravel. With as much rain as we got last weekend, I fully expected the cancellation. Could we have pushed it a couple hours back? Say 1-6 instead of 11-4? maybe, but that's their choice, and they have to protect their investment.

With that being said... If it stays like this... Let's go racing. It's cool out, but not unbearable.
