WTB: Mild SBF engine and T5 trans

    Looking for preferably:

Complete running roller cam SBF with street oriented alum heads and camshaft

Also looking for low mileage or rebuilt T-5 or T-5z transmission

I am realistic in the prices of what I am willing to pay and it will vary on the particulars of the parts being offered.

Ideally something in the 300-350hp range would be appropriate.

At this time I am not looking for SBF parts by themselves - would prefer a running combo.

Last month I bought a complete 1989 GT in your neck of the woods. 5.0, T5, A9L, 91k miles. Would've been a good start for you. I tore it's soul out, kept the motor, trans, wiring and parted it out beyond recognition. The carcass will be going to scrap soon.

Not sure when SBF's became hard to come by....I am out of touch with the market it seems.

Even corral.net is pretty slow these days.....

I found the same thing when looking for a donor car. They are hard to come by.

How much are you looking to spend? I don't really know what they're worth these days either but I might be convinced to sell the combo out of my fox.

Balanced rotating assembly with stock crank and rods, aftermarket forged pistons
    Comp XE274 cam
    Ported Y303 heads
Performer RPM intake with Holley 650 double pumper
    World class T5

Only thing I know the engine needs is an oil pan gasket which I have

I was considering a terminator swap, so I could be convinced to let that setup go for the right price
    2015 Charger Hellcat
2.4" upper pulley, ID1300 injectors, BAP, E85 tune, Cat Delete Pipes, One Piece Drive Shaft, Diff Brace, 305/35/20 555R's for the street and 305/45/18 MT ET Street R's for the track. 9.97@142 Best ET

    85 GT
Heads and Cam plus other bolt ons

    73 F250
    Lifted, 35's, 460 4spd

    Ray,

The money is not the deciding factor....however I wouldn't spend more on a used engine than I can buy a crate engine for.

I will send you a PM.

I think I have what you are looking for....the block is "small" and it comes with a 5 speed. Pulled it from the 86 ranger last weekend.

I have a pretty tame A4 block that's a long rod 308. Lotta head and built for boost. I can make a package deal hot side turbo, injectors, intake, FAST, fuel pump....

I made the mistake of dragging this up with me now I don't have any time at all for a project. Short block handled 1380 at the crank with a f3 and high ports and the same intake.
