Turbo was out of my '04 S40. Had about 150k on it. Noticed some metal in one of the charge tubes last year when I was working on another issue, but it blew an oil seal this spring as roughly a third of quart dumped on the flloor when I pulled the hose off the intercooler. Weird thing is it doesn't seem to have much shaft play which is the confusing part. Took the opportunity to upgrade to a 14T out of a S60. That along with a new Boost Pressure Valve has made it a fun little car.
