Got my rear seat delete and carpet back in. Starting to feel like I’ve got an interior again
Amazing how much better everything appears once the interior is back together.

Started working on the electrical system. Got the master disconnect mounted ...
Finished the interior today... seat brace in, belts, fire extinguisher, done so I’m back to where I started, lol ...
Weight wise, with just little detail stuff, basically freeloading weight I ended up finding 23.4# ... still gained weight over the roll cage, but getting some back ....
I’m going to tear into the electrical system under hood for the battery disconnect and such next, but the parts are starting to show up for the next shor at a little weight savings ... tear out stock tank and move to a fuel cell.
10 gallon cell?

6 gallon cell. It’s a 4 banger, gets good milage if I’m not in full boost
I usually start True Street with 5 gallons for the 30 mile cruise and three passes and have fuel left. My silly fault, but I use a little under 1/2 gallon a pass, but want to keep adding fuel because I never really knew what was in the rank. Always ended up with a full tank before it showed much on gauge. This also has a linear 0-90 ohm sender so I’ll have a reasonable accurate gauge too.
im really happy with this set up so far. Return line to the bottom, deep sump for pump to sit in, billet pump hanger. Now if I could actually get the aHellcat 540 pump anywhere I would be set. Likely going to start with my 450 pump until they get back in stock.
NHRA rules say you have to have a disconnect quicker than 9.99 wether you move the battery or not. I always intend to keep my battery under the hood, so picked up this Moroso shutdown relay.
alternator feeds through fuse to battery side of the buss. That’s connected to relay so when I kill that, it kills battery and shuts the car down as it’s supposed to do.
happy with the set up
So much room for activities now ....
started fuel cell mounting
Go my “box” built around my fuel cell. Everything fa bed up, just need some 3/16” pop rivets for the access door.
coming together
Got my rivets and got the fuel cell install wrapped up. A lot of little stuff to do yet, but I can see the end of my winter plan ...
Looks good Bob. What’s left to do for it?

im getting to the end of what I really needed to do as far as the safety upgrade. Finished most of it up tonight.
im going to tear into the engine next. Fresh valvesprings and we are going to go through the head and get a look at the valve job and guides and such. See if I can’t find a few ponies
My fuel filler door is now useless, and since the fuel cell came with a sender, I made a plate and installed a fuel gauge in there. Saves me from opening the hatch, and the cover, and the cell to check fuel level, lol ...
Apparently my gas gauge is in distress ... no idea why this site rotates some pictures
Swapped alternator brackets around. I was running a pinto set up that I hacked up to work ...
Someone actually makes a 2.3 part low mount alternator bracket. Beside what I had being hacked up, everything in this bolts to the block so I can removed the head without having to take off the alternator. Easier distributor access now too
Been in a little bit of a holding pattern between work, life, and waiting to get my chassis cert done.
chassis cert will get done at Mason Dixon next weekend ...
going to swap turbine housing and freshen up the tip end of the motor.
I can see the end, lol
