I know I posted this in the past but wanted to get a new perspective. My gears or carrier bearings are pretty noisy so I am going to go through the differential this winter. A good friend of mine already gave me a set of slightly used 3.73s but I am wondering if I should go to 4.10s. Car Details:
- 2000 GT (Stock SOHC 4.6)
- Procharged making about 10# of boost (with supporting mods - mass air injectors, etc.)
- Stock T-45
- Currently has 3.73s
- 17 inch rims (17x8 in the front, 17x10.5 in the back)
The car will never see the track again. It is strictly a cruiser nor am I worried about MPGs. I keep thinking that if I am going to do the work of tearing it apart, would 4.10s give me a better seat in the pants feel or would it even be noticeable and only see it in the ET? At this point in the car's life, I am just looking for "feel" and not chasing the lowest timeslip. Thoughts?
