    Good local machine shops?

Have a pair of AFR165 heads that need some rebuild work done on them.

Had them at a local shop which I trust but he didn't want to do the work.

Needs intake guides, 1 exhaust seat, and clean-up mill on the deck.

I wouldn't mind sending them back to AFR but of course they are in California....getting nailed with 2 way shipping plus the transport time...etc.

I still might do that but looking for local options as well.

    Thanks
    -JOHN

I use Evanuik Performance at 1133 Rt. 30 North Versailles, Pa. 15137. Jim does all brand of motors, but he is a Ford guy. He did my AFR 185 heads.

BnR Speed Shop (Verona PA), if you can wait, as he's very slow. But very good!

A1 Machine in Greensburg is my guy but likely too far from you. He usually turns cylinder heads pretty quick

Dropped the heads off last night with Jim SR. and Jr.

Nice guys and definitely Ford guys at the core.

Only concern will be the turn-around time...hopefully he does good for me.

The amount of work there for 1-2 guys was overwhelming.

Will check out A-1 machine next time if Evanuik takes too long.

Maybe you will get the "Ford guy" priority.
