    Classic / Antique plates?

Can we still get the white classic plate with purple numbers and the purple antique plate with white numbers? I have seen some newer plates but they looked like the daily PA plates with classic or antique on the plates. They were pretty ugly looking.

    Are the older plated transferable?

The olds ones are gone. I think you can still transfer them. My dad is running a few purple plates.

I know someone who has an Antique purple plate. The Mustang is 26 years old and ready for one. No notary will let you buy a purple plate and transfer it to my vehicle. I would need to sell a person my car who has the antique plate. They would have to transfer the plate and then they would have to sell me the car back. WTF!

Why does Pennsylvania make everything so hard? No one likes the new UGLY PLATES. Maybe I should just buy one and paint it purple. The DOT person in Pennsylvania who came up with the ugly plates needs to be stoned to death!!!

Yeah all the uniform plates are terrible, I miss the Antique/Classic, the River Otter, the black D.A.R.E. plate (which I have on my Mustang). They at least stood out.

I think the other way to transfer plates is through family, as that is the only way I can transfer the Dare one. I've had people offer me upwards of $250 for mine once they stopped making them. That is crazy!

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

100% agree. And they tout they're the 1st state to put the website on the plate...wow, cutting edge we are. I still like the old blue/yellow Keystone State plates back when they were 6 characters. Seems when they ran out and went to 7 they all got lame.

I got a Dare plate hanging up in the garage, the car it was on was totaled while parked in the garage. If they're really worth some $ I got to see if anyone in the 'family' wants it.

The antique plates are hideous, I have one on my chevelle. 4 characters and a stupid 1910-1920s buggy on it.

However the classic plate I got for my mustang maybe two years ago is white and purple.

Did they screw up classic plates now?

All PA plates have the same template and the corresponding logo to whichever group it represents.

I have the purple antique plate on my truck, and am considering putting a standard plate on it. Guess I just don't really care what the plate looks like, not a big deal to me.

Like I said, no one likes the new plates. The purple tags were something that was special to get. Too bad PA wont get it!
