I only made two passes in the 387w truck. Swapped the carb this summer and didn't put any time into tuning. It went 12.50/105mph both passes, was running way too lean...and I forgot the jet kit. It's normally 11.90/112mph.

But Colt....he did very well. He's had his permit for all of a month......but has been running equipment and driving for years around the back roads. Mostly all in stick shift. I let him do all the driving in his truck. First pass was 16.5/85 and after that he just kept knocking time off with every pass, never slowed down. After I rode along for two passes I handed him off to Dad for the ride alongs so I could watch. Each pass I let him adjust the shift light for more rpm as he got more comfortable with the truck. His last pass was shifting at 5600. On a hard 215/70-14 he cut a 2.0 short time with the T5 (actually 2.0 on his last 2 passes) and went 14.0 at 99mph. I'd planned on going to 6k the next pass and I'm 99% sure he would've got into the 13's at over 100mph. Regardless he was wound tight all night long and couldn't stop watching the videos. Not sure he even slept last night.

I learned BMW's launch control does not last as long as it takes for a tree to drop, it basically lets go and pushes you once you reach the timer, ha! But yesterday was mainly messing with the various settings, a lot of 11.0's, and one 10.6 @ 131 for a basically stock 22 BMW M4 on pirelli pzeros. I think a more aggressive tune and drag radials, it could see a 9.9

One of my biggest kicks was talking to your brother, & you & the rest of your crew.

I had a lot of fun being a spectator. Hung out with Greg, Dan & his Dad and Rick and Colt. Met Ralph and talked with PJ and AJ and John. Perfect day and lots of nice cars. Somehow I missed Sean. Anyway, thanks PJ for the fun day.

That’s probably because I was in my Fusion. Best time was 13.60 at 101. Not bad for stock. I have to resist getting a tune for it!

Nah - I had the Silver one. The gray one had a tune and a few other mods. That one was running low 12s!
