    1/2" spacer for stock intake

is it a worthy mod or not? i had one on my old 98 GT but never did any dyno/track to tell any difference...definately nothing in the SOP meter.

so $20 spacer worth anything...or am i just being a cheap ass wanting power but cant afford to pay for it yet.

if it is one of those "tornado" t-body spacers then yes you are pissing in the wind, but a plastic spacer between the upper and lower is a good upgrade, it moves the power band a little higher and isolates the upper from some engine heat...

Tim, how does it move the rpm range higher since it is in effect making the runners longer? I've always believed the opposite, that if anything it will lower the power peaks since the runner length is made longer. I never ran one before, but I will be on my new engine strictly for valve cover clearance. Is my logic flawed?

Jared, on a stock car I think its worthless since more than likely the intake will be swapped at some point. It will keep some heat out of the upper which is never a bad thing, but the difference will be minimal. You'd get more for your money by buying $20 worth of detailing supplies IMO.
