    Cranks

    So when redoing the internals of a manual mach1's engine must upgrade the crank or can you just do pistons and rods?

    Rods and pistons will do. Your crank is fine as long as it is a 5 speed.

    Didn't some 96-02 cobras have auto's? If so they could have used that flex plate. Also 99-00 GT's have 8 bolt flywheels they could have used those too. Who really knows why ford did that?
