Thread: well not in the garage...but still working

    well not in the garage...but still working

    started taking the dash apart to find the wiring problem with the lights. so far all i can see looks good....i need to go buy a star wrench (like an allen) to get the two screws up by the windshield so i can finish pulling the dash. and get to the gauges and rest of wiring.

    so we now off to drive in to see pirates 3 and stop by advance auto to get me tools.

    Lol they're called TORX screwdrivers. and do yourself a favor and get the tamperproof ones first that way if you ever run into those you don't have to get another set. or you can just beat the tamperproof part out of the screw like i do depending on what it's screwed into.

    i know what they are..i have some in screwdrivers but cant fit anything inbetween the windshield to do it.

    yea i put those 96 seats in right before he bought the car, i think they were 100% more comfy then the stock gt seats...

    done...but got to buy some fuses and see if that fixed the gauge lights....we didnt find any fried or melted wires.....so

    ok well i have sucessfully wired the fogs independantly....so no overheating the headlights anymore....

    however i am still blowing the 5a fuse for the gauge cluster.

    any ideas?

    its a ford? lol

    maybe you have a bare wire shorting out somewhere in the harness?

    well nothing is bare...it all looked good that we could see....maybe its farther up in the dash.

    dammit....i really dont need to be trying to follow the wiring all through the car...that would be disastorous.

    The dash wires go out under the hood and the wiring for the rear of the car connects in the driver's kick panel.
