    Arrow Volvo 16V head swap...

The big controversy over the B234F 16V Volvo head installed on a Lima 2.3/2.5 block has been going on for some time now.
Phil Marshall/PM Motorsports in NY has made the swap work. Some say it's not worth the effort, some say it's a cheaper alternative to a 3500.00 ARCA alum. Esslinger head.. Word has it the car is making over 600Hp with a mildly ported head with stock cams.

"This is a video of PM Motorsports XR with the Volvo head on the lima block. From what I read, He put down mid 500 rwhp before it started burning the tires. This was at Carlisle this year. Enjoy!"

Here's a Vid of Phil's XR at Carlisle on the rollers...

i seen it as well not sure if it was the tires smoking on the dyno or the tires rubbing the well lips on the quarters so bad that were causing the smoke. he had to acctully stop and cut a big hunk of it out because it started to cut into the tire and was throwing marble sized chunks of rubber into the crowd none the less very impressive 535hp

That picture is on just about the right angle too for a volvo, forvo volord, whatever ;)

Troy = DO NOT start getting into what Mike is thinking, the next thing you will be dragging Pinto's home, looking for Volvo parts, maybe even fender flares. No good come come from it, just move along :D
