    Fox Schrader valve question

What size NPT is the thread on the Shrader valve port, 1/16" or 1/8" maybe? Or isn't it NPT at all?

    Thanks,

    John

If you still have the plastic cap that screws on to it, just take it to Lowes, Home Depot, etc. and try it on one of their handy dandy sizing boards.

It's not 1/8" because you have to buy the adapter for the mustang fuel rail when you get a fuel psi gauge. I'm not sure what size it is but it is smaller then 1/8'" NPT.

Damn, you guys are quick! Thank you. If only I had worded the question properly...LOL

What I'm looking for is the size of the port on the chrome stock fuel line where the Schrader valve/housing screws into. What I want to do is move the mechanical FP gauge to the fenderwell, where I can then mount it along with an electric FP sending unit. The wiring for the electric gauge isn't long enough to route it to my liking over to the Schrader valve area. I'll need about 12" of braided line to make it from the stock port to my gauge header port over on the fenderwell.

I'm not at home where the car is, so I can't just go out and try fittings until I hit the correct size. On top of that, the shop that sells the line and adapters is really close to where I work, about 15 miles from home. I just don't want to have to play the back-n-forth game!

You can always extend the wiring.
