    Anyone using TwEECer?

I need to get some bigger injectors into my Capri. For the 2.3 stuff its not as simple as matching up the mass air meter, so you need to get into the EEC. I've been looking at options and it seems like a good choice. Anyone have any experience with it? Anyone have one for sale?

Mikeymustang runs the tweecer, I run an EEC Tuner. I won't be much help though as I haven't touched my program in over 3yrs. There's a LOT of 94-95 gusy that run the tweecer because the tuning community sort of shuns us and we have to do it on our own. Check out this link for a lot of helpful information.

HA! You think the 94/95 stuff is shuned, come on around us 2.3 guys for a while :D There is actually a lot of support for the tuner in the 2.3 world, its just a little more pricey than TwEECer by the time you but the tuner and PCMX. All I want for right now is the ability to change injectors and manipulate the pulsewidth multiplier to clean up the A/F some.

I like the idea of being able to flip a switch to get back to a base tune if I mess it up

    Thanks mike!

I geuss it wasnt clear, but I meant the Tuner + PCMX cost more than the TwEECer with its built in software.

What stand alone are you running?

55 #/hr (570 cc/min). This is about as big as we can go without halving all of the tables in the EEC, and they arent priced bad. I'm still not sure what I'm going to use to put them in there, but I need injector. This 50 psi base fuel has got to go ;)

What EEC you running in the SVO? Mine is on a PE.

I would sugest 60# mototron...I had 2 sets and both worked well...BTW I have an eectuner that i might want to part with (eectuners are hard to come by cause they are no longer made)....I am using an AEM stand alone and LOVE IT! the logging is AWSOME!

That is one of the issues with the 2.3L Turbo processors. We can not enter an injector value greater than 56.5 without some major changes. To go bigger, you have to enter half the injector value, then go and multiply all of the tables by 2X. These processors were really early in the EEC IV, so the tables are real convoluted versus stuff like the A9L. For example, there are 7 tables to calculate air flow from the VAM alone (barn door instead of a hot wire). Once you need more than 55's, its really time to consider a stand alone.

I've heard great things on the AEM. There are a few 2.3 Turbo guys running on it, and they also said its sweet.

MegaSquirt are easy to tune if you know what you are doing...they can cost about 400 dollars and make sure you get the one that controls the timming alsoI think its Megajolt...its kinda tuff knowing wich version to get...there is MS 1, MS2, Microsquirt and I think you can either wire it up stand alone OR buy a "conversion" board wich you can plug it into an existing harness but you need a doner connector from a ECU...let me know if you go this route I can proballly help tune also...

    Bob,

I would lean towards a megasquirt for bank for the buck.

Are you still running the vane meter? I thought there was a way to convert to a modern hot-wire MAF?

Another option might be the http://www.mass-floefi.com/mass-flo.html I know they do v-8's but, not sure about the 2.3

Like Mike I run the AEM box. The logging demistifies much of what goes on in the ecu. It's not the cheapest but, it's well suited to turbo efi cars in the import world. There are many cool auxilary pieces available for the AEM also like boost controllers, displays. Mike & I run the systems without a MAF & scale our load based on a MAP sensor alone. There's no more worrying about MAF calibrations or pegging when running larger injectors. I'm sure ditching that old vane meter would gain you some power.

Still running the VAM, and plan to for a while. A mass air upgrade is possible with both the TwEECer and EEC Tuner, although its a bunch of re-write of the tables, then some fiddling around to get it right (also easier with the LA3 processer). I have the code here to make an 80mm mass air meter work with the LA3 and the TwEECer ;).

The Mega Squirt is a nice deal, good price, and will work well with these. My issue is, this is still a daily driver ,and it needs to start and run like one. I know that can be done with the MS, but I just dont have the time to do the tuning to get it there. WOT tuning is pretty easy with them.

My goal right now is to get some injector in this thing before it melts down. Looks like the TwEECer will get that done for me.

I have a Tweecer RT and have been working with it for a year.
    I use it with an A9L (I've also worked on a A9P). I've used 83 low imp and currently run 60 high's.

I never realized a turbo 4 had so many differences.

Try to download the tweecer software then find a bin on the web of your processor and play with the software before you buy.
