FORD PARTNERS WITH "THE VIEW" TO HONOR WARRIORS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER WITH OCTOBER "WARRIOR OF THE WEEK" PROGRAM September 12, 2006 Ford extends its commitment to the Susan G. Komen Foundation with ABC partner "The View"
DEARBORN, Mich. - For the first time, Ford and ABC's "The View" will partner to honor the heroes who fight breast cancer with a Warrior of the Week" program.
- Ford and ABC's The "View" will partner to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors and their supporters in a "Warrior of the Week" program throughout October.
- Ford enters its twelfth year of support for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation with the Warriors in Pink initiative — an extensive collection of apparel and accessories for men, women and children available at www.fordcares.com.
Starting in early September as part of Ford's Warriors in Pink initiative, the co-hosts of ABC's "The View" will call out to Warriors during an on-air Hot Topics" discussion to share their personal stories of support and commitment in the battle against breast cancer. Viewers will be asked to submit their stories about the breast cancer Warrior in their lives - whether themselves or a loved one - through ABC's "The View" web site. Each week throughout October - breast cancer awareness month - a different Warrior will be selected and will appear on the show.
Ford's Warriors in Pink initiative raises funds for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation through the sale of specially designed clothing and accessories for men, women and children on fordcares.com. 100% of the net proceeds from Warrior in Pink gear benefit the Komen Foundation. Ford has supported the Komen Foundation for 12 years and has dedicated more than $87 million in gifts and in-kind donations.
Ford will provide branded merchandise from the Warrior collection, including a limited edition Warrior scarf, for in-studio audience giveaways throughout October.
Beginning October 2, viewers will have the opportunity to purchase a special limited-edition "The View/Warrior" coffee mug featuring "The View" logo and pink ribbon embossed on the front and the Ford "Warriors in Pink" and ABC logos on the reverse side. 100% of the net proceeds of the mug will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The co-hosts will drink from the mugs in October to remind the audience of the importance of breast cancer awareness and early detection.
"The View" co-host Rosie O'Donnell, a warrior herself in the fight against breast cancer, is scheduled to attend the "Race for the Cure" event in Princeton, NJ on October 29.
This is the only 08 I'm concerned with at this time !!! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed it happens.

I think they need some new exciting colors, it looks like the same old stuff. Im really getting tired of the sos and think getting carrol shelby involved was a terrible move. They have turned the poor mans hotrod into an over priced sunday golf car.

yeah, I actually agree. I was looking specifically at the colors and they were pretty boring.
