Finally the 6er gets a kill!

    2000 3.8 mustang n the prey: 1996 Mustang Gt with a 5.0 motor swap.
Ok. i was comin home from work n was about 3miles from the house and a buddy of mine has a 96 mustang gt with the 5.0 motor in it, was in front of me...a car was turning off in front of us n there is a passing zone about a quarter miles long..give or take a few. Well i geared down into 3rd and waited back until this car started turn off n then just smashed the throttle out around the GT and he never knew what hit him. He geared down and got on it once the front of my car was even to his door but for sum reason i got in front of him and that was all it took. He was just astonished that i even had the balls to try n get around him. Once i got around him n looked down @ the speedo we were doin 105mph. He could have taken me if there were anymore passing zones between there and the house but i was impressed the 6er finally got one. It wasnt a true kill i guess u could say but i was still impressed with what ive got. The 5.0 has exhaust, cold air kit and msd ignition n 373 gears and my 6er has diablo chip, flowmasters dual exhaust n a cold air kit. thats it. Also there was a jacked up f-150 with a 302 in it following myself up thru the hole but didnt have enough to take the 5.0. What a good way to end a 12hr day at work!

good for you dude, I have a six and an eight and the little six really woke up when I went with a 98 gt rear with frpp 3:73's I lost top end but I can get there alot quicker now I just need someone to tune it in Pa (100 miles or less) it also has flows , and bbk cold air, gutted cats and a mass from a 02 explorer 4.0. Im thinking of turboing it I have a 80mm garrett but I dont know it looks like a pain, maybe that was'nt a kill but it still feels good.

Yea...it wasnt a true kill but it made me feel like i had more then a cobalt....which is what everyone around here drives!!! n did u notice a difference with the mass air from the 4.0 explorer or not? Im goin back to school to get my doctorate so i cant really justify spending loads of money now. i have 2 vehicles as it is..or else id step up to a v8 or mess with what i got a lil more.

    Thanks mater!

yes for whatever reason the 4.0 mass made a diff in low end breathing , for 50 bucks it seems a good up grade

My Ex girlfriend had a 99 with a V-6. It ran very well. Better than the rental that I beat to death in South Florida a few years ago!
