Anyone taking a ride to the NMRA national event #4 at Route 66 Raceway?

I've been planning on it for two months, but now it's not gonna happen. No race money. I must consolidate all efforts toward event 5 at Atco, NJ.

What class you gonna run?

Bracket 2 or 3, unless they come up with a Lightning Class. 3 is free, but no cash prize. I think I'll pay up and try for the money. Made it to the finals in B3 last year (couple red lights in the other lane helped me!), and I ran pretty damn consistent at WFC X. I'm still thinking about True Street. There's no way this truck will ever be light enough for heads-up!

Why don't you enter the Truck and Lightning class. Its kinda like the brackets but with a pro tree. There are a bunch of great guys in the class. I crew for one of them, he lives in Economy, PA.

Also, its a good thing that you are not going to Joliet to run brackets because they cancelled the bracket classes for this event due to high car counts in the other heads up classes.

I can't remember why I didn't last year - there was a good reason. I remember all the Lightnings running brackets 2 and 3 only. I remember it being heads-up now that I think about it, because that is what JLP and the other 8 and 9 second guys ran in. I'll look at the pay scale for both and determin my best chances from there!

Yeah, I do it for fun, but I can only race "for fun" for so long.
