the good thing about a j-mod is there isnt a big "kit"

yea some people gather parts and sell them as a kit. or you can get the parts list and buy them yourself. i had it done to two of my stangs.

(ill find you the parts list and how-to)

J-Mod Valve Bodies. . .
-
The J-Mod shift modifier was designed by a Ford engineer,
these modifications allow for faster shifting and extended
transmission life. This kit is a complete 4R70W valve body
with the modified shift plate and new gaskets. Simply swap
valve bodies and you are done, no drilling required!

here is a parts list....some numbers been changed but ford can translate them

I'm building this for Milan. I'm building it
for 500hp. I just ordered the parts today:

1 -- 5.4L Planetary Carrier -- XL3Z-7A398-AA
1 -- Forward Sun Gear -- XL3Z-7A399-AA
7 -- Friction Plates -- F8AZ-7B164-BA
8 -- Steel Plates -- F6AZ-7B442-AA
6 -- Forward Clutch Friction Plates (FC) -- F8AZ-7B164-AA
6 -- Forward Clutch Steel Plates (FC) -- F0SZ-7B442-A
1 -- Pressure Plate (Forward Clutch) -- F0SZ-7B066-B
1 -- Pressure Plate (Intermediate Clutch) -- F7AZ-7B066-AA
4 -- Friction Plates (IC) -- F3LY-7B164-A
4 -- Steel Plates (IC) -- XL3Z-7B442-BA
1 -- Stator Support -- F4AZ-7A108-A
2 -- Forward Clutch Seal Rings -- F4AZ-7D019-A
2 -- Reverse Clutch Seal Rings -- E0AZ-7D020-A
1 -- O/D Servo Return Spring -- F2VY-7F201-A
1 -- O/D Band -- F2TZ-7F196-A
1 -- Pressure Control Solenoid -- XL3Z-7G383-AA

If I were building it to take "only" 400-450
bhp then I could have gotten out of buying
the 5.4L planetary carrier ($195) and the
sun gear ($43.60). Maybe I should have asked
him Oh well I know he is shooting for mad
power yo and doesnt want to worry about his
tranny. Total is about $500

I have yet to find a place online that sells a complete kit. Most that do it just modify there own valve body. Using a tuner to firm your shifts is another way that a lot of people including myself choose to do.
