Last September, after driving it with the turbo on for all of 3 weeks, the sixxer crapped out the 7.5" rear end. (Turns out it stripped some of the teeth off of the 3.73's.) Regardless, I spent many many months looking for an 8.8 and the last month or so wrestling with the control arm bolts. After a lot of PB Blaster, a lot of banging, some work with a cutting wheel, and a pinch of air chisel, everything came off. (Yeah, they were really on there good...) Needless to say, everything is going back together a lot faster than it came apart. All that's left is the brakes and the exhaust, which I had to take apart to get to some of the control arm bolts. I'm excited to get it back on the street so I can take it down to Rodeheaver's and have Tim put in the new 3.73's and a MAC rear end cover. Then it's off to somewhere to get the damn thing tuned, finally. Can't wait.
