my car is an 01 gt i do have an 03/04 cobra front no idea if that matters it prolly doesnt.
what size rim would i get they have a million would i just get the biggest 15x15 i believe it is
For the front you will want to go with a 15x3.5 and for the back either 15x8 with a 5.5inch backspace or 15x10 with a 6.5inch backspace.

Get tires that will keep the diameter at 26". That would be a 275/50/15 on the back. I can't remember the front off the top of my head
man this is confusing lol so i might be an idiot but wats the backspace like spacers you mean>?
so what size tires do i buy for the front an what size rims do i exactly all need etc etc? will my car be very low to the ground or the same cuz i am going down to rim sizes from 17s to 15s
Your car prob won't sit much lower because your keeping the overall tire/wheel diameter the same. I believe for the front its a 165/R/15. Cam is correct that on the back you would want a 275/50/15 to keep the 26 inch diameter that the stock wheels have.

Keep the tire diameter at 26" and the ride height won't change wether it's 14" or 20" wheels. Backspacing is just a dimention of the wheel regarding how much of the total width goes back from the hub. So a backspace of 5" means that 5" of the total width of the rim will be towards the inside of the car. To much backspace will cause the wheel to hit the frame rail ( or quad shock). To little backspace will cause the wheel to stick out past the fenderwell.
now if i put 275/50/15 on the back why do i not put like 245 on the front if i put the 165 will it make it lopsided or if i do 165/50/15 in the front it will be same height correct?
165/15 is the correct size for the front came oe on older vw bugs (70's)
will i need spacers to fit weld prostars on my car? and can i put regular street tires on the welds and drive it around regularly or do i need to have a drag radial or slicks? thanks
i have 3.5s up front on my draglites and i have to use a spacer. My backs are 15/10 with the 275/50/15 and i think my fronts are the 165/80/15s. if you want you could come over the house and test fit my rims on your car.
i also have eibach pro-kit springs on my car and it sits about the same. I have a few pics in the pic section if you want to see what they look like.
Click on the little wrench in the product description it the file tells you all about wheel back spacing.
