    any ideas

I know its hard to fix without seeing, I just started driving my 91 gt after since last year. Its got a vortech supercharger and isnt running right. Backfiring, no power, idles pretty good, but backfires when i get on it and has no power. Motor and charger have high miles. Gonna change the plugs, but ive been thinking the MAF is going bad, any way to test it? Anyone got a chance to check it out? Im sick of projects.

Yea, close up the plug gaps to around 30 if you haven't already. Also, if your running an FMU check to see if it has the right calibration.

What ignition do you have in the car? Not a lean back fire is it?

Bypass the MSD ignition. I've seen this problem before. The votech BTM goes bad and pulls full timing all the time making the car run like crap. I don't know how many I've had to bypass to fix a simular issue.

i think my t rex is bad, fuel pressure will go 40-45 , at first which is why i didny notice it drops after that. im gonna check the wiring. So now the real question, buy a new $200 t rex or do the aeromotive sump tank and a1000 pump. any people running this??

You didn't recently change plugs and/or wires did you? I guess I'll just tell you all how I noobed myself and maybe it will fix your problem...LOL

I put in new plugs in the spring. When I was done I started the car and it idled like a champ, but if you touched the gas at all it would pop through the exhaust horribly. The car was totally undrivable. In my apparent rush to get done, I had 1 & 2 plug wires crossed. I did it in front of my wife and dad and they found that entertaining. I hope your issue is as simple as that, no matter what it is!
