You should be able to go up to a 305 wide on most tires and a few of the mfg's run smal like Nitto which you could go with a 315 on a 9" rim.

315's work fine on a 10 thru 11" wheel with the proper offset.

I had 275s on my 00GT. They where 18x9. I know I could have gone bigger but the 275s where perfect.

I have the cobra 17"- 11" wheels, so the 315's would clear the quad shocks?

you might need to turn them around on their mounts to clear.

As Mark said, 315's will fit with the proper wheel BS and offset. However, with your 9" wheel I would not suggest running anything from a 295-up as they are too wide for a 9" wheel. They will physically go on, but they will look like crap as they will be bulging all over the place. If you get a 10" wheel the 295's fit perfectly!

I have 17X10.5" wheels (which is what I think you have too since I have never seen a 17X11 cobra style wheel). My BS is 6.75" and my Nitto 315's cleared everything without any modifications. I do know that most of the aftermarket cobra replica wheels that are 17X10.5 are closer to 6.9" BS though and therefore you may have to flip your quad shocks as mentioned by Mark.
