7-29-07 Flash Light Drags in Ebensburg

So who's going? I'll be there racing... I actually mean "tuning." Thanks to Mike and Mark I now have my car back on the road and running with my new AEM stand alone. I have a ton of tuning left to do so I think the FLD will be the ideal place to do it as making full throttle passes on the street isn't very safe, nor is it very legal. The car won't be setting the world on fire as it actually feels pretty darn slow right now in comparison to the stock EEC tune I was running, but I'm sure it'll all come in time.

What parameter(s) have you discovered to be the most difficult to tune when utilizing the AEM? I am assuming this is an N/A application.

    "Patience my dear grasshopper!" LOL!

Take care of the air/fuel first and then add the same timing as stock. there should be no reason that it will feel as good if not better given the same timing...rember to verify your timing by taking your timing map to a STEADY CONSERVITIVE number and free reving it as high as you can checking timing/timing drift and rember to hit the back button to get the original numbers back
you could probally add even some more timing than stock given the compresion ratio, heads and if you are running any octane.

I will have my cell phone on if you have any questions

    good luck

If you use an "Idle air control" then your idle will drive you nuts for a little while

    Question FLD's

I realize this may appear to be a really stupid question, but could someone please give a description of exactly what the flashight drags are? I see it mentioned all the time and may be interested. I just need some details.

    Thanks

Thanks, that helps. Looks like fun, but do you get any kind of time slip to see what you are actually running? Or is it just "who gets to the end first is the winner"?
