Wow Mark... didn't know you were there. Did you participate at Myrtle Beach Speedway and did you go to Darlington? I did not have any patience to take any more pics with that heat on Friday. Wasn't it like 95*F and about 100% humidity?

Did they actually have those fun runs and were they inhibited in any way or could you go all out around the track? I couldn't imagine telling my insurance company that I backed my car into the wall at 120MPH during a Mustang Show in another state.

I didn't take the Cobra and they wouldn't let me take the Altima out on the speedway. lol We didn't make the Darlington drags. Seemed to be a little too far for the expected turnout. I really missed having my car there for the fun runs. They set up cones as seen in the pics to keep the speed regulated. Lots of guys said they were approaching 100mph or so though. They let folks make 3 laps and get back into line to wait a bit to go again. Some of them went several laps!

Yep, Friday was brutal with the heat and humidity. The weather was really nice the other days. We didn't stay for the saturday cruise as it seems to be a redundent event to the show the day before.

We go every year and I am already looking forward to the next one!

yeah, I can't imagine you would. I washed and dried my car Friday night before we left and it was junk by the time we got to Rockingham at 11am. I did not touch it all week. By Friday, it had bugs and 4 days of ocean dew and sand all over it. Those freaks at that show lugged all their cleaning hardware down there and shined them up in a hotel parking lot. I'm definitely not that committed.

Funny... Mark did you notice those peeps sitting in the lawn chairs along 17 about 5pm? They had all sorts of cameras and what not waiting for the cars to do burnouts upon leaving. Wifey says "DO A BURNOUT". I declined stating "NAH, THERE WILL BE LOTS OF HIGHER HP CARS HERE TO AMUSE THESE IDIOTS" then I pulled out and granny-shifted up through the gears and missed 3rd right in front of them. duh duh duh !!!

hahaha! I was waiting for the cop to pull people over. Did you see him under the road sign just past Hooters? He was on the other side of the road just watching Stangs speed by! He never pulled out after anyone that I saw.

Thanks Kevin it was a total blast! We go every year. Last week of July, Mark your calender now for next year. The wives can go tanning and shopping while we go to the events. Everybody has fun!
