yep, it was a newly listed one. called the guy a short time ago. May go look at it tomorrow afternoon. Also going to look at an 88 with 51,000 on it tomorrow. i've seen the car before, it is very clean. Only thing that bugs me on it is someone put on the stick on hood scoops that lund makes and had an aftermarket sunroof put in. I'm sure the scoops will come off just may have to have hood painted eventually. Not a whole lot I could do about the roof being cut for the sunroof.:(

There are a ton of FOX Body Mustangs in the Muscle Car Auto Trader. $3500 will buy you one that needs some work or has high miles. From your post it looks like you want a turn key vehicle not a fix it upper. The cars I saw that were decent were around $5K but there were some nice other ones. You may have to go a little farther then your general area but they can be found. I see cars sometimes sitting on the side of the road for sale. You may just luck out on one, especially as summer ends .

$3500 it will probably need something, i bought one for 2700 that needed a transmission. Keep an eye on the mustang sites classifieds, might have to do some driving.

The green one in kent didn't have that stuff. It was an 88 that I went to look at today that had that stuff. I didn't get a chance to go look at the car in kent today.

    stangfever...

there are 2 foxes for sale right outside brownsville on rt 40. one is a black hatch and the other a blue convertable. i'm guessing they are 88/89's? i havent stopped to looked at them up close but from the road the vert looks decent. no idea on prices, but i might be able to get a # for you or something. let me know...i drive by these 2 everyday. there was also a notch right across from rodehavers speed shop as of a week ago. i looked at that one...a lil rough for my liking but you might want to check with them.

    excuse this comment but...

i can't believe what some of you guys are willing to spend on a foxbody.... holy balls, 5 or 6 or 7 grand for a car that is 15 years old at the very least.... geeez.... i know this is a Mustang site, but just for comparison's sake, you can get a '98-'99 LS1 Camaro Z-28 Auto for that much !!! that kinda money for that old, outdated, ugly car is just flat out rediculous imho ...

    sorry

I have to agree with that to a point. 5 grand is probabally the most I would spend for any Fox, but you have to look at the huge aftermarket of parts and how cheap you can modify one of these cars compared to a newer F-body.

problems, and i'll list every little thing that i know of or that i find even if its very small [ i'll get a list after work in the day light ]

trans- pops out of first every blue moon, or grinds in 3rd when trans is cold some times

could use new control arm bushing in the back [ i think it does]

pass side window- some time it wont go down, tap on the door and it will , maybe a lose wire on the switch

back seat - does not match the fronts

body- dings and few small dents- i'll get pictures, one dime size rust spot behind the pass door down low

No track passes this year , didnt want to beat on the trans to much but iam sure it will go faster then 12.20's now with the smaller intake and not the systemax intake.

if it wont sell i'll keep the car just thought i would put it up to see if anyone is looking and could use the money to pay some bills off

There is one on Pittspeed.com for sale for $3000. It has high miles but to get to having high miles it's got to be pretty dependable. I saw the car on here before. Finding one in your price range should not be that hard.

  18. #38
That's JARED. He already posted in this thread. His car looks good for the price.

I guess I am curious what do you want for $3500?

I always tell people if you have a question you had better come with a solution.

I think part of the problem is how much money you have to put into the car...jared is selling his for a good price, but he is not even close to breaking even.....but I agree, people do want alot.
