window tint

ive been fighting myself for over two years now on whether to get window tint or not. i really love stangs with dark window tint. id love to get some 20% but i dont want the hassle from the po-po. thinkin i would go 35%, but hell i dont know. what yunz think?

I think it depends how bored the cops are around your area.

ive had tint for years. im also a truck and for some reason i guess i am overlooked. i know when i was out in a camaro with tint it got pulled over the first day. my s10 got ****ed with by cops a few times. tint all dpends on vehicle and percentage

I'm not voting since mine is freshly applied. I sat on the fence since I got this car, I think it looks right with tint, but didnt want the hassel. I figured what the heck, lets give it a try and see what they have to say ;)

It def depends on the cops in your area. In my township you will get hassled, but the next township over the cops could care less. I think you would def get hassled less if you do 35%. I've had that for about a year and so far so good.

I had 20% on all of my windows and got pulled over all the time, so I took it off the front 2 and have not had any trouble since

I've been pulled over once in my honda for widow tint in pittsburgh they just wanted to make sure we wern't drunk or high...he also said I didn't have to remove it

I've put 15% on every vehicle I've ever owned, have yet to be pulled over or hassled about it. Just got my new silverado tinted this morning as a matter of fact. I say go for it!

i've never had a vechicle without 5% allway round... never gotten hasseled

Its funny, everyone and every cop has a different story about window tint in PA. My friend is a trooper (by you in happy vally). He doesnt ticket people for it but it is a reason to pull you over.

i have 20% all the way around on my Taurus...but then again its a Taurus...why would they pull me over!

I got pulled over with 20% on my '89 by a county cop who was a major prick about it. He also pulled over 3 or 4 of my friends within a week but never showed up when we all fought the tickets.
I just went with 35% on my '07 for two reasons. First, 20% was too much of a PITA to see out of at night. You could only really see lights. Second, I'm hoping there'll be less of chance of police problems with it a little lighter. Plus, when I was looking for the current laws, I found a few places that said 30% or lighter was legal on any windows, but I could be wrong.

My cars have always been tinted with 5% in the back and 20% on the doors, and I never had a problem with the cops. I have been pulled over twice. Once for the car being too loud and the other to make sure I wasn't using slicks on the street.

I have 35% on my Cobra and haven't had a problem yet....But I have had a couple of tickets from having it done on other cars.

i have 20% on my 95 and 35% on the svo and 20% on my dakota i say go with 20% on the back window and 35% on the sides and you shouldn't have much trouble.

There was 5% on my corvette and never got pulled over. Any time I saw a cop nearby I'd just put my windows down. I bought a roll of 20% for my mustang; have yet to install it.

I have 20 on my stang and always use my a/c so they are never down and havent had any problems yet. I have 5% on my ta but no a/c so they are always down but still no problems.
