The busa is heavier than the Gix and the handling is not up to par either. Its just a straight line machine basically. Then these knuckle heads go and boost them. Kinda pointless if you ask me.
i somewhat agree... i think its fine to own a 1000 if your ability calls for it... i've rode several new 600's and 1 newer gix 750 and they sorta left me calling for more and glad as hell to have a litrebike... i just think that most guys that have litre bikes do it for the preception - i guess hoping that all the chicks and other posers out there don't notice their 2" chicken strips... i mean come on - learn how to ride first before you step into the big-dog territory

and Cobra, i'm in no way dogging your bike.. liek i said, i'm sure that its the most insane ride out there, but i'm just one for doing the twisties and turns... and when u stretched the swingarm, you absolutely butchered the handling on that bike...

on a side note, i did ride a turbo gsxr 600 one time.. i've never ever felt something sooooo DEAD just absolutely snap.. and bam, the front wheel is in the air:D

HAHA This just made me think of a kid I used to be friends with. He had an '02 gix750. That thing had 2" strips on it. Well, last summer he sold it on ebay and bought an '04 1K. He said he loves it. I saw it a few months ago. He had bigger strips on it and cords showing in the center. He falls into your category of posers. That is exactly what he is. Shit, he could not even rine the can-o-tuna he had for a first bike. But he is quick to say that he has "hit" 180 on it. Whoopie shit bud. Is what I say. Its people like him who make a bad name for us riders who truly love riding. I am sure sooner or later we will be washing him off the road somewhere.

your completly right when i stretched the bike i killed the twistie ability but i also have the 750 to fall back on which gets most of the seat time, i love gettin out and railin corners to, the busa was a gorgeous bike and my eyes snapped to it when i saw it on ebay, its a no doubt primarily a str8 line bike and a twisty cruiser, i love it though, it's fast, clean and fun to ride, i would like to maybe someday bring the swingarm back into stock, see what this thing can really do. Good thread though, lots of good points and opinions made by all, and i agree it comes down to the rider or driver of the respective vehicles.
