    PA State Inspection Question

Has anyone here ever been pulled over for driving with an expired inspection? If so, What type of fines and punishment was it?

I moved to Maryland on Memorial Day and wasn't able to get my vehicle inspected before I came down. Now I have a company vehicle so I would like to take the personal car home to my parents house to get it ready for inspection. My dillema is that I have to take it and my trailer all the way across the PA turnpike on Labor Day weekend. I looked at uhaul and budget and it's going to cost about 4-500 dollars for the box truck and car trailer.

ive gone 3 months and didnt realize that my inspection and my tags had run out and the only reason i even noticed is i washed the car (it was a beater and i think that was the one and only time i ever washed it). i know i drove right past many cops in that time period and never had one of them notice

I would risk the ticket. Its better than paying $500 for a truck and trailer.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure you don't get arrested, impounded or anything like that.

My cobra hasn't had an inspection sticker on it since last September and I don't get hasseled. Passed many cops and don't even get a second look. I'm going to knock on wood now, haha.

scrape it off completely if the plate is still good 9 of 10 you'll get a fix it ticket and it will buy you time , or drive it down at night ; I drove from queens last year with no sticker at night and had no problems .

the fine for NO inspection sticker is less than an EXPIRED one. And as long as you have an appointment for the car, then you will be ok, tell them you got a new winsheild and are on your way to the shop.
