    Streetbike for sale!

2003 Suzuki SV1000s silver 996cc V-Twin. 6700 miles. approx 113hp at the rear tire. OVER $2,000.00 in upgrades: carbon fiber mufflers/pipes...sounds better than a Ducati. Many carbon fiber accents/dress up pieces...including carbon fiber mirrors, crash protectors, rear spools, Billet rear sets, bar ends, and SV logo radiator cover. SV logo hand grips. led turn signals & brake lights. Hot bodies undertail. Suzuki rear fender. Dark tint wind screen. Suzuki passenger seat delete (passenger seat can be put on at ANY time if your girlfriend wants to go for a ride)...passenger seat is included. BMC racing air filter and tank spacer kit as well as 520 chain and sprocket kit. Tires installed last year with over 60% tread remaining. The bike was recently treated to a charcoal gray tribal flame vinyl decal kit which is of course removeable but it really makes the bike one of a kind. Oil was changed every 2500 miles. This truly is a one of a kind bike that you DO NOT see (or hear) everyday. I just haven't had time to ride the bike in the past 2 years. I am the title holder and thus the buyer will have the title in hand same day as purchase. email or call with questions/concerns. reil01@aol.com 412-716-6200 ask for Neil
First $5k+ takes it! P.S. Insurance considers this a sport touring bike...My insurance is $28/month for full coverage through Liberty Mutual!!!

twin def have a unique sound good luck with the sale

edit: For those that don't know, this is the little brother to the TL1000R... I'd say it'd be a good starter bike for someone with some responsibility, as well as something that still has plenty of "go" for the experienced rider.... It has enough power to get you in trouble, but nowhere near the grunt of the TL-R, so you won't get in trouble unless u ask for it (wouldnt say the same for a new rider on the TL-R)... FAR better choice than a SV650 to start with IMHO - i think you'd grow outta the 650 too quickly...

It was/is my starter bike - although I don't recommend it as a starter bike unless you have ridden street bikes before, and you can handle a 10 second bike (some responsibility).

Post from an acquaintance from SV-Portal.com: http://www.sv-portal.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1650
"My best time was an 11.160 ET with a speed of 124.03 , the reaction time .797 a 60 foot time of 1.821 , 300 ft was 4.785 , and an ET @594 ft was 6.783 seconds , the 1/8 mile time of 7.231 @ 100.25 mph and also the 1000 ft ET was 9.325." This is a bone stock SV1000s..corrected times would put in the 10's

I believe Sport Rider (looking for the article) ran a stock SV1000s 10.82 in the 1/4.

Bottom line, it's very similar to a TL-R 1/10th of a sec slower in the quarter but much more comfortable to ride (not to mention better looks IMHO).

Good luck with the sale, I love my 03 SV1000s!!

And a comment about the power I have been riding on the street since 02 started with a 650 SV and graduated to the 1000, and she definatly rocks and rolls on down the road!
