You have a manual or automatic transmission? Be suprised if you naded it with an automatic, though I don't know what kind of power your making. I used to burn out the stock t-locks pretty quickly with BFG drag radials and a 125 shot....

My Detroit TrueTrac, Moser 31 spline axles and wounded 4.10's(chipped tooth from factory diff spider gears breaking apart) have held up very nicely on slicks and 5900rpm launches. Second season on this setup.

I see this first hand every week. I have yet to see someone drive a stang harder then Ares, maybe as hard but not harder. And he doesn't just bring it out for a TNT a couple times year. He races it every week and I'm amazed that it holds together.

Was that a missed shift Ed against Barry last night? Curious what happened in that race. I know the new stuff is coming but I hate not having scroeboards.

To the topic, I race a stick car, 5800 rpm clutch drop launches on ET streets, 3:73 rear, and get a season on TL clutches, havent had any issues (yet). Lots of passes on my stuff too.

One thing I do recommend is getting the torque boxes welded up if you plan you hit the track pretty often. The newer cars are a little stronger then fox bodies but the torque boxes will still end up getting messed up. I welded the lowers myself after seeing a slight tear in driver side lower. The uppers I haven't gotten to yet but they are in dire need as I have pulled one spot weld out of floor in passenger side upper. This I found after finding I had nearly ripped a Granatelli(you get what you pay for and cheaper is not better) double adjustable upper arm in half.

Messed up on 2-3, think I did that twice Saturday. Occasionally I have let clutch out before I had grabbed next gear fully. Always bites me in ass during eliminations.
