just tried to buy a quad

just got back from bentleys in murrysville.
tried to buy a new polaris sportsman 450 which they have advertised on sale.
tried using my credit card with fixed 4.9 rate for the whole thing and was told due to it being such a super sale i would have to pay the extra 3% CC company fees b/c they would be losing money.....it came out to $127 which i refused
also kept trying to get me me to finance through them which i refused.
i am just not keen on opening new credit accounts all over the place.

what a bunch of tools, life never seems to amaze me where you try to buy something and can't.

In the add did it say cash price? If it didn't specify then they can't make you pay extra because of cc fee's ( which unless it was american express, or they have the suckiest credit card plan ever shouldn't be 3%). Bait and switch ( bait and inflate)

no cash only price listed. i could see a little mom and pop store taking a hit on cc fees but bentleys??
sad part is i really want the quad and its a great price, but hate people trying to make an ass out of me, so i am not sure whether i am going to go back to get it or not and pay cash /finance it

yea that's total B.S.... btw, i was told once that Visa only takes like 1.x%, so that 3% is total crap... A place told me that once b/c i wanted to use my discover, and they said if i use discover, i had to pay like 6% extra, b/c at the time Discover charged like 7%.... i believe that dicover has come down since...

this may be wrong, but that's what i've been told a couple times

American express is the only one that still charges more. ( about 3%)
