    Long Tube Headers

Real quick. I need long tubes for the notch. Would like to keep a prochamber. Has anyone ran a different brand long tube with a prochamber?

E.g. BBK long tubes w/ Mac Prochamber.

Colin, I have a welder. We can make anything work. Get whatever you can for cheap!!! We can do it. Just ask Jayson. Some torch work lastnight and his '94 is now exhaust leak free.

This seems to be a good enough place for this question:

If you were buying 1 5/8" long tube headers, which would you buy; BBK or MAC? Why? Which ones fit better, and which ones work better?

    Thanks,
    Mike.

On a 5 year old thread....ill answer... NEITHER!!!! Unless you have supporting mods, you will be pissing in the wind anyways. Stock 5.0 only puts down around 180-190 at the wheels if you are lucky. If you do a QUALITY H/C/I swap, you might benefit from 1 5/8 long tubes.

Where I come from, you try to find the answer first, then you ask the question, which you didn't really answer. Let me restate: If you were someone with GT40P heads with 1.95" valves, a Comp XE270HR cam, an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake, a Speed Demon carb, and 1.72:1 roller rockers, which 1 5/8 long tubes would you buy, MAC or BBK?

If I had to buy headers for my fox again I would most likely go with these... http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...2C3226&x=0&y=0

I've purchased a couple sets of pacesetter headers in the last few years and the quality was way better than the BBK's I have on my fox now or any Mac's that I've seen

I like BBK over Mac for quality only because the bbk's have a 3/8's flange where the mac primarys seem cheesy....JMO.

Really????? I haven't seen one. Unless it had some mods done to it. Autos were around the 170 range. Infact, look at rush2112's car. Snapped stupid mods on it and i think a Cam too. It put down something like 185 or something a few years ago. 5.0 5speed car.

They are only rated at 225 flywheel HP. There is A LOT more than 10 HP drive train loss.

If you have P's, don't buy the BBKs, they won't fit. The MACs should fit OK, might need one 90 degree boot.

I'm not sure if they will or not. I'd imagine you could probably do a search on corral and find out though, or maybe just call pacesetter to see if they know for sure.

Pacesetter doesn't know if they will fit P heads. Neither does the Corral, really. Damn.
