Hey everyone....i have a car problem...(go figure)... whenever i stop the car and shift into reverse, sometimes the rpms dip low and it feels like its on the verge of stalling....same thing happens at times when i brake hard....any suggestions or ideas of what it could be and how much it would be to fix will really help. thank you. clark by the way it is an automatic....problem started not too long ago.

the rpms do return to normal...car has around 65k on it...just worries me because it didnt do it before...it does it more often when i go into reverse....it dips really low like 200rpm...then back to normal.

It could just be a ford thing like Troll said, or your idle air control valve could be going on you. Mine did the same thing a few years ago and then just kept stalling out after a while.

I got my iac from ford. I think i payed $70 for the part and just put it on in my driveway.
