    Finally Axed the 460.

Well, as of about 11pm tonight, the only remnants of the MACH 460 system in my cobra is the 4 stock tweeters, which will probably get changed at some point...

Have an Pioneer AVIC-D3 for a head unit now, with some misc items

Two Audiobahn 12" woofers powered by an Audiobahn amp.

Replaced all the 5x7"s with Eclipse SP5700 Point Source speakers and amped them with a 4 ch. Sony Xplod amp. All new wires to the speakers.

I can't believe i didnt do this sooner!

The Amps are now mounted on the backside of the sub box for presentation purposes

Sure, it adds some weight, but the car is FAST now, so uh, I dont think it matters haha I can't stand stock stereos, especially ones that are worthless.

Good choice on the Radio! The AVIC-D3 is one of the nicest headunits I have ever owned. I just took all of the stereo equipment out of my Cobra. Of course I relocated the headunit to its new home in the Mark LT. Looks better in there too.

I couldn't be happier with mine. :) Why do people want the 460 system?

My only complaint is that when listening to the Sirius, it only display's either the Artist Info or the Song Info ant one time. There is no 2 line display to show them both at the same time. Aparently that is a common complaint about it.

Good question on the Mach 460. Since putting mine back in I don't even want to listen to it because it sounds so shitty!

I know that almost all Radios are like that Ed. I've only ever seen my brothers Alpine display both. I have yet to figure out why manufacture's do that.

Thanks Bish! I laughed when you touched the screen, and was like shit! haha

I had an old Kenwood single din radio with the Sirius module and it would scroll Artist / Title. It cost about 1/3 what the Pioneer did. Guess that's what happens when you leave things up purely to engineers, they always seem to overlook the most obvious things.

I hear you there. The hardest thing is going to be teaching Mrs. Viper_ed how to use everything on it now that it's in the Lincoln.
